Yeah, those bands I posted were mostly 80's bands, with some 70's ones in there as well. Back then, they overdid it with the forumula.

I don't blame you for posting 70's and 80's stuff. All that grunge and thrash metal out there today is seriously sad. I don't like the new stuff these days it's too turgid :D

Well, thrash doesn't exist anymore. Thrash was a product of the early 80's to about the early 90's. I loved classic thrash. I loved all metal of the 80's. I never enjoyed the grunge movement though. I agree with you that the new "metal" that is coming out is very dissapointing. However, the European metal movement is still strong. They never seem to let me down at least :)
Ok I'm not up to date with the latest stuff out there, replace thrash with Death Metal. What's the point of that? Rock should either be nice and groovy or G& R style hard rock.

I know what you mean. There are a lot of horrid death metal bands out there. But at the same time there are plenty of melodic, high quality death/black metal bands which are really impressive. Most are out of europe though :)
