I noticed today is the Birthday of the Comedy Genius Charlie Chaplin.
Not a single thread in his honour so on his 122nd Birthday I will honour him on GS with a special thread were I will introduce to you what I found were my favourite films of his.
The likes of this fellow will never be seen again… I hope you all enjoy what i have to offer…
Heres one of my all time favourite Chaplin films… “the Adventurer” released in 1917.
This was a very good film and certainly the first five minutes are pure slapstick at it’s best. :omg:
The other film I would like to share with you is “behind the Screen” which is from 1916. Although these films seem ancient and silent movies are not to everyones taste I find them works of art. Look out for the mother of all custard pie fights… I loved this film… :rotfl:
If like me you have a passion for Silent Movies and films that time forgot then I will be delighted to make future posts that are both enlightening and funny. :hehe:
Again I understand this may not be to everyones taste, however please try to enjoy these films and I hope you do so. ![]()
