Seems like the key difference TODAY
I can't believe it. This should have been an easy victory for the Indians.
India All Out and OUT. Aussie win the cup. :(
Once again Sachin Tendulkar single handedly carries the team with his bat and scored 466 runs in 7 innings.
Sehwag the over hyped tulla fails again but will still go to Australia.
Laxman, worst cricketer in this team will also travel to Australia. He dropped 6 catches, 4 easy ones and 2 tough ones.
Dravid will continue to keep wickets despite missing 2 more stumpings.
India's great find Avishkar Salvi who was supposed to be the next mcGrath Couldn't cross 125 KMPH barrier. Needless to say he will also travel to Australia.
India's Wasim Akram, Mr. Ashish Nehra is also going to tour Australia.
Murali Karthik - Best Bowler in the Team wont be touring Australia.

cmon give them the credit.
Aussies worked hard to win the game
and indians worked hard to lose it.
All india’s fault can’t even blame the umpires this time ![]()
India managed to score 10 runs more than the average in chasing. I thought India will win it easily as Tendulkar and Sehwag showed brilliant performance against NZ.

Thats becuase they were playing against the NZ A team ;)
@ Asif_K’s comments
oh and by they way today India was also playing with Aus ‘A’ team with McGrath, Glispie, and Lee not in the attack ![]()
Damn it. I left the game at 150-4, and thought Indians will in it easily. But they really worked hard to lose. For once i rooted for Indian win and they disappointed.
Aussies are an awesome unit. Thier unity, thier approach is a lesson for other teams. Well played :k:
And this indian tail cannot wag , they just sank without any whimper, Agarkar was playing beautifully but the shots from the lower order were horrible.
Laxman was out to a shocker of a delievery, the ball didnt bounce and once again, the weird aproach to the pitch preparations left a lot to be desired. Yes indians played badly but the pitches this time arent upto standard indians used to offer.
Tendulkar, well , what can we say, his appraoch towards the chase was disappointing , he is a master, should have taken attack to the bowlers. He rarely performs these days chasing a total and leave the team after giving them hope. Okay dont need to remeind march march first. But it just seems that he takes a lot of weight on his shoulders while chasing, he needs to relex.
Its more like the Aussie B Team.
Bottom half of their order is almost unknown to some.
So is India - India is also playing it's D team. :D
Badani, Karthik,Salvi are all new. We are playing without our Captain as well :)

:D @ asif_k and his excuses
Other than GANGULY, it was India's NATIONAL team as all other were NOT SELECTED unlike the INJURED Aussies :)
Well ur captan knew whats coming so he decided to stay out and let Dravid have all the credits ![]()

Well, It's not my problem that the Aussies were injured. From the Aussie world cup team only Mcgrath & Lee were missing. If that makes it their B team then yes India is playing with its D team.
Teaser - We may have a poor cricket team, but we are not like you great fast bowler who chickened out at the crucial moment.

Even your best team was spanked hard on March 23rd, so there is no difference there. :)
Did I miss something on March 1st? ![]()
Didn’t all of our great fast bowlers showed up that day? ![]()
Guys cool down and lets not ruin the thread.
This win shows that Australia is on a different level altogether. The rest of the teams can’t even think of beating this team in the near future. Well played Aussies. :k:
Am I gilding the lilly by suggesting that India have some problems at the moment? Perhaps not given the amount of advice that chairman of selectors Syed Kirmani, captain Sourav Ganguly and company are receiving from the ever impatient Indian public.
The genesis of the team’s failure is not unsurprisingly coming from the their inability to keep Australia down to a respectable total. Gilchrist and Hayden have dominated just about all of the world’s attacks in the last two years and that dominance has in no way been dampened by the Indian bowlers and nor the Indian pitches. The new ball efforts of Zaheer Khan and Ajit Agarkar have been ineffectual and the restoration back to the ranks of Ashish Nehra (it is only early form) much the same. Hayden and Gilchrist have the talent of extraordinary batsmen in that they are able to put away perfectly respectable deliveries no matter what the risk factor reaches.
A good length to them is a very small place indeed. Their reward in the first 15 overs when the fieldsmen must be in the 30 yards circle is often around the five runs an over mark and sometimes more. Rarely do they fail, and have a particular liking for the Indian bowlers having made four century opening stands in just nine games.
So, yes they are very good, but I must say that there has been some very poor bowling that has made the progress against the new ball reasonably straightforward. The two Aussie lefthanders have the ability to intimidate opening bowlers, something that usually works the other way around in cricket where fast and short bowling often trump short back-lift and fast between the wickets. Zaheer and Nehra definitely appear to be put off their game, just as in the World Cup final, every time they have played Australia in this TVS Series.
The odd decent delivery has been surrounded by a bunch of juicy long hops and sweet half volleys. They might as well send down tasty gulab jamuns rather than white kookaburras so easily are they consumed by the sinister openers.
To dismiss great batsmen the bowlers usually have to bowl with discipline and talent. The tenets of line and length are basics of any bowlers repertoire from the under 12s upwards but there has been precious little of the two ‘Ls’ so far. Is the cause bad technique? I think not as we have seen so many top performances from India’s lefthanders in the past especially in the World Cup where the combination with Srinath lead them to the final.
I think it is a crisis in confidence bought about by the menacing approach of the Australians who do not wait for the opportunities to come to them, they search the opportunities out with an incredibly effective thoroughness and ‘back themselves’ to succeed. India must do likewise.
Self confidence and self belief are visibly lacking in some key players and the opening bowlers are certainly keys to India beating the Australians. Perhaps the captain or the coach need to take some extra steps, to consult or cajole or beg or whatever, to drag their charges out of the firing line, for at the moment they are like rabbits caught in the spotlight’s glare, unable to move, unable to react and suffering some cruel blows.
The psychological baggage they are carrying onto the field with the new ball may well cost them this current one-day series and might easily be taken on the flight to Australia for the Test series and that battle win be lost before it has begun.
The batsmen are trying their hardest to make some high totals but Sachin, and Sehwag, VVS and Rahul can’t carry the can all of the time, Time for the sports psychologist or the astrologer, whatever works will do.
So Australia won again huh.. Damn it.. for once can't some team beat them. Nowadays it is like an unwritten rule.. Australia has to win the finals of any series they participate in.
Tell me guys.. Have they lost a series in recent times( I have lost touch with this game)?
