Can't wait! The Jupitorians better start practicing their batting.:D:

Meanwhile, Agarkar bowling beautifully, mixing it up. Players are getting their rhythm back and have even started all that cuddling and fondling.

NZ already 68/3 off 13 overs...not looking good...

NZ should try to save wickets first and make runs later...

If NZ can make 200 runs from Kumble and Tendulkar's 20 overs...they will be back in the match... :)

 Kids should be banned from watching this match.

Troubling times for NZ... 110/4 off 20 overs...

140-6 NZ after 28 overs!

I just saw commentary at Cricinfo for the last over from Zaheer, it said for both the lbws:

46.6 Khan to Tuffey, OUT: another shocker from Hariharan, as the ball
pitches outside leg and raps Tuffey on the pad. Zaheer wins the
appeal, though, and the game is India's

46.4 Khan to McCullum, OUT: Pitching outside leg and raps McCullum on
the pad. Zaheer appeals and umpire Hariharan agrees with the bowler. Another poor decision.

When India is in such great position to score 353, why do such things? was Hari in a hurry?

This is what cricinfo said about Zaheer and Hari.

"Zaheer ended up with the highest number of wickets, but all of them came courtesy umpire Hariharan. India's best bowlers were Kartik and Kumble, while Agarkar put in an impressive performance with the new ball."

This Hariharan part is truly unfortunate. I didn't see the match so can't tell if all of this about him making so many wrong decisions is true. I am sure he was not partial but he may be plain incompetent. I wonder what stops ICC from demanding only neutral umpires for international matches.

HariHaran:nook:

well his expression told everything when he gave the 1st LBW-Decision in favour of Zaheer who was almost begging for it ..... i guess being persuaded like that made him raise his finger ..... 2 LBW-decision in favour of Zaheer were BS-Umpiring and the last one was also very much debateable ......

but i guess all these decisions were not essential in NZ defeat since it was on the cards that maintaining a RR of 7 all over the 50 overs was too much for NZ-Batting lineup

& some1 was accusing us of bad umpiring ;)

Spocky...there is a difference between incompetent umpiring and biased/partial umpiring. Pakistani umpiring during the Shakoor Rana days clearly fell in the latter category.

When was last time Shakoor Rana was umpiring? :konfused:

Lads I don't want to this thread turned into a fight over umpires. So cool it.

Some1 how do you know whether Hari was incompetent or was being biased?

Good question Ehsan. I can't tell for sure but (being an Indian) I think I know/understand the Indian Psyche very well. Also, Hariharan is a South Indian. South Indians are known for their integrity(in case u are wondering, I am not a south Indian myself).
However I am not dismissing the small possibility of Hariharan being an exception to my theory.

hehe when a Pakistani umpire screws up, its automatically assumed as being 'a biased decision', whereas if an Indian umpire does so, hes merely incompetent. Nice logic Some1

& stop calling me spocky, you sound so gay when you say that?
