Fincher is apparently a Reznor fan, as the director used the Nine Inch Nails song Closer over the opening credits to Se7en](Se7en (1995) - Movie | Moviefone) back in 1995. However, this time out, Reznor and Ross will provide a full score for the film – and not just license the use of a single track.
The musician broke the news through a message on the Nine Inch Nails website. “I’ve always loved David’s work but quite honestly I wondered what would draw him to tell that story. When I actually read the script and realized what he was up to, I said goodbye to that free time I had planned.” Reznor goes on to add that the film is “really f***ing good. And dark!”
