I remember reading an ayat in which Allah said:
Sura Qaf 50:12-14
The people of nuh, the dwellers of the RAS…
These people (of the ras) lived beside a river in the time if Hazrat sulaiman and they were leading a happy life with all the amenities of life, clear water to drink, fruit laden trees and plenty of cultivation.
There was a certain PINE TREE that grew very large on the bank of the rive ras due to the highly favourable climate of the area.
The tree was so tall that it looked as if it were touching the sky. Satan induced these people to worship this tree as there god as it was so unique and the people fell into there trap.
No one was allowed to drink the water as it was considerd sacred. people took branches and pine cones as good luck from there “god”.
Years passed and Allah decided that he would send a messenger to bring these people back to the right path. this messenger came and told these people to stop this ignorance and come into the fold of Allah.
They told this messanger(dont know his name)to get out and if he did not stop they would kill him.
So time passed and the prophet had failed in even bringing one person to Allah. During a worship of the tree the Priphet asked Allah to make the tree Dry up so that maybe they would return.
The people took this as an omen from the tree and buried the Prophet alive so that the tree would be happy with them again.
Allah got angred at this act and sent a red blast of wind that dried up the place and devastated the whole area thus the evil people of the Ras were finished…
Were these people the same as said by sadia baji???
