Here r some of the pics of my trekking to Gondogoro la.
Gg la is a pass from whcih one have to pass through to either on ascend or descend to the great K-2 base camp. Our plan was to goto basecamp but the when we reached the base of La the weather was real bad. Rain fall at the bottom while heavy snowfall on top. The night when we have to start ascending in front of us 2 porters who were descending from the other side slided , one died on the spot while the other in 2 days. Our guide told us not to attampt, we were having severe headache ( altitude problem ) so we returned back.
These pics are not much thrilling coz when the real advanture started we were not in position to take pics rahter running for life. Khair the experience was great.
As usual I was thinking that for what the hell I m here , n prayed to God not to come here again.
And as usal we are planing for the next trip in 2004

Wow, that area is just breathtaking. Once I remember we were going up to the Swat glaciers I got so emotional looking at scenes like that that I didn't feel like smoking lest I polute the air. Awesome experience.
