how do you treat a burn resulting from dropping hot water/tea on your skin right at the moment so it wont leave a nasty mark?

immidiately soak the burn area or spot in fresh water and salt mixture--will work seen it--no marks or nothing--ofcourse this is for like minor burns not severe burns

Toothpaste ...or fountain pen ink...(color of ink does not matter) ...

this is from experience cos i got burnt to day ...and it wernt water or tea it was oil ... ouch it hurts.....

just beat an egg...and put it on right away...its gross but it helps

i dropped tea on myself and i tried the toothpaste but it still sort of left a mark. I'll try the egg and water +salt mixture tips next time. thanks everyone.

My ami used to use this antibiotic “eye” ointment …and believe me I have had a lot of incidences from a whole frypan of hot oil to falling from a hill …My face would be full of scars if she hadnt used thats:cb:

Hello this just happened to me yesterday!!!!! god it hurt like hell! i put it under water right away but hten put BURN GEL on it. just happended to have it at home since im always burning myself!!! it was called First Aid Cream and its available at any walmart. also i read that aloe vera and vitamin E are great for putting on the burn and esp for minimizing scarring.

if u get any kind of blister....like the skin bubbles cause of the burn ...crazuy....but put atta (dough) on it....it made my burn go down and alleviated the pain...although scar is still there!

toothpaste does NOT work!!! At least not for me. I had a burn from a stray fried onion piece while cooking...i put toothpaste on it, and ended up with a really bad water filler blister that wouldnt heal...grr.

I definitely putting salt on a minor burn, or better yet the pulp of fresh aloe vera.

By the way, an over the counter burn remedy that contains bactroban is really good as well for burns. Plus its anti bacterial.
