Treadmill

How many of u detest it like i do :frowning: I just hateeeeeeeeeeeee it and find any and all the excuses to avoid it. I dont know bt i find it very boring and very hard too.

What abt u guys? I dont understand how can people be on it for an hr, for me even 15mins r cruelsome.

Alot of people say its the best one for fat loss, i hope its not true :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Treadmill

Treadmills are among the best and easiest to use excercise machines.

If your using it to build up cardio and endurance levels then it's a firts rate piece of equipment. It aids fat loss and is superb for many types of body shape.

Try it on a slower speed setting and if you can alter the gradient to a slight incline... this will aid most in fat loss.

You need not set it at 13.5kmh or 7.24 mph if thats too fast for you, even a mere 6kmh with a 0.5 incline is good enough at 20min bursts for fat loss.

Some machines come with heart rate monitors so you can match speed with heart rate and see how good your fitness really is.

That said treadmills are great, but if like me you dont have direct access to one, theres nothing better than a nice stroll or a decent run around town.

Re: Treadmill

Boring I can agree with, but hard? You just walk. How hard can that be? :D But yeah, unless I'm watching tv, listening to music, or flipping through a magazine, I can't manage to do more than 15-20 minutes.

Re: Treadmill

You can eliminate the boring part by watching something on TV or on your laptop computer. I do .
I confess that I detested it too and found it boring before It was facing TV or before I thought of putting my lappy in front of it and watch hulu.com or other of my favorite shows.

Re: Treadmill

I can go up to 7mph n 5/6 incline bt its just not an excercise i enjoy doing :(. And i can do till 15 mins bt beyond that it drags :( I have done 30/40 mins b4 bt just detest it.

Re: Treadmill

Once you get into the habit, it's autopilot, you get on the treadmill and voila, you go on and on...

Try the usual to make it more interesting; television or ipod (on Pandora, listen to streaming music)...

Re: Treadmill

I hate using the treadmil myself even though we have it in front of a TV in our little home gym. I find it hard to keep up with the pace and if I put it on a lower number that gets too slow for me.

Re: Treadmill

Sajalina, Thoray paisay aur daal k acha wala lena tha na. :D

Re: Treadmill

I thought i was the only one :D i'm finding the treadmill really boring too...and i am listening to music and reading a book at the same time, so it's not like i'm just randomly walking. it's very hard for me to motivate myself to go beyond 20 mins or so, and this is at an incline or at a pretty high speed.

Re: Treadmill

I ain't gonna mention the price tag but it's very much acha wala. :o

Re: Treadmill
