A tad morbid i know…but apparently, it is recomended to keep with you and take with you on all your travels…so that you’re prepared for any eventuality.
so how many of you have bought one? does it accompany you on your journies?

k so the reason I am asking is I actually bought one from kerbala recently, they have suras written on them, nicely packaged, and sold practically everwhere…so you dont feel odd that you’re buying you’re own kaffan. Its just another piece of cloth.
It is meant to be kept in sight, so you can see it on a daily basis…a good idea i think, but that’ll be a while fer me.
Anyways…a friend of mine bought a couple for her in-laws as a hadiyeh. Funnily enough, she still hasnt given it to them…not sure why, but I think she maybe waiting for the right time. :halo:

^MaMooli, did you go to Najaf too? I wish to go to both Karbala and Najaf at the end of this year hopefully after Hajj.

Yes I did and also visited Kufa, kazmain, Samarra and Baghdad. It was awesome. Go for it. :k:
and mek sure you bring home a kaffan too. :-p

Insha Allah. Did you visit Karbala during the Arbaeen? Media reported that they had numbers in excess of 10million! Could you tell us more about your experience of each of these places if you could?

No, couldnt go during arba'een, went during easter instead. I dont do crowds, so im glad we missed the rush. but yeah we saw it live TV though, and it was amazing. I will write up insh...but prolly in blog...

On the contrary , you should celebrate life and all Allah has given you. Do you want to keep Allah in your thoughts all the times or death. Remembering Allah and keeping Alllah in your thoughts is more humbling.
By keeping cofin with you all the time and not enjoying the bounties of Allah you are being ungrateful to Allah. If you dies of a fire , you cofin is no good , if you drown your coffin is of no use . How do you know how you are going to die ? Only Allah know how you are going to die therefore let Allah decide if you are going to be burried in a cofin or not. You do not need coffin to be humble . Just one look around you should make you humble enough to be thankfull to Allah for each speck of air you breathe.
