travelling with the Quran

just wondering.. is it ok to place the Quran in a suitcase (not hand carry) whilst travelling? or should i place it in my handbang? im scared that if i have it in my handbag, and mots of the time my bags on the floor.. its just not gonna be good.. is it safer to pack it with my clothes?

shukriya :flower2:

If I were to travel with Quran, I keep it in my handcarry bag. Not sure about any official rulings on this topic.

hmm interesting.. yeah my cousins told me the same thing, i just thought it'd be better in the suitcase..

I would not put it in any place where it may crumble down under my or anyother one's feet for that matter.

Whatever the rulings may be, respect is something that needs no ruling but understanding and love. Love to read and then practice on it's message is one thing and repect the written "Mushaf" is another.

^ ummm thanks..

i was just asking whats the best place to put it.. not how to prove my love for the Quran

faisal, i think i'll just put it in my hand bag.. i geuss thats the best place

no one asked you to prove it either. It's something which is in the hearts and matters of the hearts are only shared by the Creator. The only point I was trying to make was that whereever you put it, just do not put it on the floor out of respect as you yourself mentioned the thing earlier.

^ kewl.. sorry

*carry it in your hands {ablution needed ofcourse} rather then putting it in hand bag or trolley case/suitcase. in suitcase the quran would touch the zameen and quran needs to be in a high place {if that made any sense}

  • it isn't just a ordinary book it's a holy book which needs special care and attention. the best option would be to buy a new quran from the country you wish to visit, in order to save u aggro' and save the quran from being disrespected.*
