Travelling to Pakistan

Hello everyone,

Could anyone suggest which type of make up products should I take along on my trip since it will be really here there?

Looking for suggestions on foundation, liners, primers, sun block etc

Re: Travelling to Pakistan

Assalamoalaikum,
Firstly it is and will be hot and humid so here are the things you will need.

Sunblock: if you're going to be out under the sun most of the time and don't fancy a tan, you're going to need a 30 spf or higher sunblock, preferably waterproof. Loreal has a one that's a lotion + Sunblock. Apply that to your skin and wait until it's absorbed them apply your makeup.

Primer: face primers and eye primers in general make your makeup last long, use what you've been using and are comfortable with. If you're on a budget you can try the spring song lotion (you can find it at saeed ghani in paki or any other cosmetic store) it usually does the trick.

Base: LESS IS MORE. If you have oily skin don't over powder or use loads of foundation and concealer. The Body shop has a good collection of foundation, concealers and powders. I personally like them and if you want a local product go for the Mussarrat Misbah collection (you can get them online or from Depilex) you'll need something that's not too greasy, something light on your skin.

Liners and mascaras: one word. Waterproof. Get your favourite waterproof liner and mascara. You can get them from expensive places like sephora or any other drugstore (E.l
F has a nice pen liner)

Lipsticks: go for long lasting matte lipsticks. I personally like the liquid lipsticks from the Mussarrat Misbah collection, they're as we call them 'biryani proof' and its true. The colors are vibrant and they last long.

Lastly if you're here for a wedding or are going to a party and need your makeup to last long just get a setting spray, do your makeup as usual and spray away :) you don't need a lot of products, depends on your length of stay and how often you apply make up.

One more thing. Humidity = frizzy poofy hair, so don't forget anti frizz sprays and some kind of hairspray or mousse that'll keep your locks in place!

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely look into these products 🙂.

Re: Travelling to Pakistan

Lol I went around the same time to Karachi. I religiously used sunblock but there wasn’t any point because it gets so humid there and I had to be out and about at all kinds of places. You sweat so much, you are pretty much bathing all the time from head to toe in your own sweat :rotfl:

I don’t recommend using any makeup unless you are going to be in airconditioning most of them time in KHI. That or have makeup dripping down your face.

And normally I don’t sweat a lot.

And just to give you an idea, my lipstick melted in my bag. True story. No, it wasn't a cheap or even drugstore brand. I started putting all my makeup in the fridge after that. I even stopped using a moisturizer that I must use here on my normal/oily skin. It felt like putting on lamb fat on my face.
