my sister is pregnant and she and her hubby want to spend 3 weeks in june in pakistan. mainly in pindi and abbottabad. she´ll be in the sixth month at that time. she´ll have a 9 hour flight.
we all now that in june it will be very very hot and there are many power blackouts etc. and we from the west are more sensitiv than the people are back home regarding illness, hygiene etc
so what´s ur suggestion on that? did you travel to pakistan during pregnancy and how was ur experience?
are there any other risks?

yup i travelled in my 6.5 mnths and it went fine. the only thing is no matter how tempting it is... DO NOT EAT FOOD FROM OUTSIDE.. i didnt and i was fit and fine MA!!! :) drink nestle water.. ghar ka khaana and ull b fine!
I think you're not supposed to travel during teh third trimester, 6 months is pretty close to that... but if it's a normal non high risk pregnancy than it shud be ok...check with Dr first.
@sara ... its safe to travel IF your doc approves it. most of the airlines are fine with it unless ure in ur 30's weeks or so. my doc checked me one day before i was travelling and all was well so i went ahead. i even asked for a certificate from doc just in case although in emirates they want one only if ure in ur 30 plus week(dun remember exact week) and anyway i didnt look a bit preg so i went easily.
I might be going to Pak in d end of March & I shall be about 25 wks inshallah,
can anyone guide me on what sort of things I should take with me or
any pointers that I should be prepared for in Pakistan.
I would really appreciate any tips frm anyone whose travelled frm UK to Pak during the
Flight or whilst the stay there.
& just to mention I will be traveling with my 18mnth toddler too.
