Re: Travelling to France

he should be able to come with you, hence his 2 year spouse visa.

Re: Travelling to France

You need to get him a Schengen visa for the duration of ur visit. Having UK spouse visa in his passport doesn't give him any right to travel to Schengen (France) visa free.

and how do i try n get a Schengen visa and were to i apply for one? i dunt nw were to start

Re: Travelling to France

He needs to apply schengen visa in French embassy in London, he will be needing.

  1. copy of ur passport.
  2. copy of marriage certificate.
  3. Hotel Booking in France for the duration of stay (Visa will be granted for the days u have hotel booking).
  4. Lease/Rental agreement of dwelling where u both live in UK.
  5. His last three months pay slips.
  6. His last three (original) bank statements.
  7. His passport (of course)
  8. 3 passport photographs (sometimes they only require 1).

He needs to ring the French embassy & book an appointment first, then go there with all above documentation to apply for visa, he can fill the forms there. Make sure he takes 1 photocopy of each document with him for their record (including bank statements).

He can book appointment at

https://www.consulfrance-londres.org/services/services3.php

All other information can be obtained from

Visa website of the French Consulate General in London - France in the United Kingdom - La France au Royaume-Uni

ok but my hubbi doesnt work in the uk yet, he will be in for about a a month before i want to go 2 france, he hasnt got any bank account here yet, oh yeh i live with my parents so havnt got any rent papers.. the rest isnt a problem i can get that..will that be a problem if i dunt have payslips or bank statements.

Re: Travelling to France

In that case, you need to provide,

1) Notarised statement by yourself that u will be paying for all the expenses & u supporting your husband during the trip.
2) Your pay slips. (may not be needed but take them anyway)
3) Your bank statements (for past three months)
4) Letter from your parents that you & your husband are living with them in their house and they own the premises.

Good luck.
