Travelling for Thanksgiving?

Hi homies!

So Thanksgiving day is tomorrow. I’m sure all fellow north amreekans will be getting ready to either go somewhere or welcome people around.

So what is the prep work? Where are you going or from where are your guests coming? Share your plans.

I’d a plan to go to Rhode Island but cancelled it last minute so will stay here and my Rhode Island family will come over inshallah. So hopefully it wont be that boring

Re: Travelling for Thanksgiving?

no worries for us and we are staying put as our Thanksgiving Day was a month ago. we are early birds. :)

i'm traveling to India for a special occasion in January when the fog season is at it's peak and as a result flight and train schedules are heavily affected. hope there will be NO interruptions and i won't be late for that special occasion! :) pray for me. thankoo.

Going to Chicago. Kids are excited about snow. For the road, will be trying out teethering on iphone. Hoping the gadgetry will keep the kids pacified/busy for the long trip.

Travelling for Thanksgiving?

KKF you need special prayers, less now more after shadi lol.

OYMWA it certainly sounds fun. Hope you don't meet any bad weather. It'll certainly be cold

Re: Travelling for Thanksgiving?

We are staying local. My kids and wife, all are off today also, so I also took a day off, so yeahhhhh 5 days weekend.

8 local families are coming over tomorrow for dinner.

Re: Travelling for Thanksgiving?

My son is coming from University. His flight was scheduled for today but got canceled he will come tomorrow. This year we are making Turkey on Friday and invited only one family. We are invited by someone on Thursday.

Not going anywhere and not having anyone over. Family voted to just chill and go out for a thanksgiving meal, for which options galore.

My type of thanksgiving after years of road trips, hosting or friends gatherings.

Yaay :-)
