Re: travelling during the 1st trimester

Congratz! I would not and I could not travel during my first trimester. But everyone is different. Listen to your body's signals...everyone's different. If you feel ok traveling in your present situation then go ahead and do it. But you also need to take precautions like, drinking plenty of water during your trip, and staying well rested. Good luck!

Re: travelling during the 1st trimester

Firstly, congratulations!! May Allah give u a healthy baby, Ameen…
Secondly, i don’t have any personal experiences to share, but know ppl who have gone thru this and from wot i understand it’s not really that bad to travel in the first trimester…later on it’s a concern…but everyone is different and u shud pay attention to wot ur body is telling u and listen to ur GP…

^^ kashmiri rain drops: it's the first trimester that is the most critical not later on. Later on, you'll have more energy and less fatigue.

Re: travelling during the 1st trimester

My wife travelled to Pakistan in her first days of pregnancy (without knowing that she was pregnant). She found out, when she was there.

By the time we came back to Austria, it was week number 8. And Alhamdulillah, everything went alright.

I would still recommend to avoid it, if it is possible to do so.

Like i said before, everyone is different…my friend didn’t even know she was pregnant til she was almost 8 weeks and she had been travelling in those weeks with no problems, it was later on that she stopped travelling bcos of weight gain, discomfort, weakness and pain etc., plus of course discouragement from her doc…it’s always different with each woman…
