Hi all,
We will be traveling to Pakistan in few weeks inshAllah. This will be mine 3rd trip with my LO, and Alhumdulilah we have done very well before. I am having a hard time finding toys for the plane ride. I want none noise maker but fun stuff to keep him busy. My toddler is 29 months old and LOVEs his ABCs, not big on puzzles
The lady sitting next to me in the plane, gave her kids a magnetic scribbling board , they kept playing drawing games with each other and kept busy for a good few hours .. you might want to try that?
We just flew to FL (3 hours flight) and he kept himself busy with this all the time.. he did ask us to draw a few things several times but most of the time, he just played with it.
I also had legos for him since he loves them but I didnt need to use them much.. if you child loves ego, take some with you. Coloring books are great too. I recently ordered these for my 26 month old since he loves ABCs too and lets see how he likes them.. you could probably buy a bunch of them for travel.
Thank you both, we have the doodler stamper for him and he really doesn’t play with that much. He does loves Legos…will look for some traveling size stuff. He isn’t into coloring yet…but the books look good will keep in mind for future.
any of you use the leapfrog book reader thing. we got a set of books as a gift but no pen and i am not sure if he will enjoy it just yet. Any input on that?
I dont know anything about leapfrog because we havent used it at all but during our flight I noticed that almost every kid had an iPad or tablet and they were either watching videos or playing games on it.. didnt hear a sound throughout the flight so I guess that kept them busy. My son, however, cant watch anything for longer than 10 mins so it wont work for him… oh he did have his tractors etc and a sticker book so we “decorated” the trucks with star stickers for a few mins when he got bored of playing himself and wanted us to give him company. May be try sticker books for him?
if he likes electronics/watching cartoons,i guess leapfrog will keep him busy.
GTG we have an iPad and a lot of stuff for him to do on it. But he will eventually get bored of it. The leapfrog i am referring to is the book reader. So it reads book (it’s a little pen.) But its normally recommended for 4+ year olds kids. Not sure if he will like it or not. He loves listening to book…but only Dr. Seuss stuff. Let see if i can find something else.
Go to Target Dollar section and they always have ar bunch of things for kids.. may be you can collect some stuff and introduce a new toy or activity every couple of hours.. may keep him entertained.
I ordered them on amazon.. I think Barnes n noble have them but bit pricey.. It shows $12 now but I got them for $7 each.. Ordered five of them to get free delivery
