I had a question about traveling to Palestine..would love to visit Masjid Al Aqsa, Jerusalem and cities like Tel-Aviv in Is..out of my curiosity. Anyhow..i have Canadian passport and if i visit there, my passport would have Israeli visa. Would i be able to travel to UAE or even go to Makkah and Madina?. Anyone know..regulation or travel restriction to Arab countries..if i were to visit Palestine..through Israel?
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
My cousin just got back from Umrah trip. They also went to Jerusalem. They flew from Texas to London, London to Tel Aviv. They spent 4 days there, and then flew back Tel Aviv to London, then from London to Jeddah. The customs officials in Israel she said are very accommodating and know not to stamp the passport pages for entry if you are going to be going to a Muslim country, especially Saudi Arabia for Umrah/Hajj. They stamp a seperate, loose paper that they fold into your passport. She said they didn't even directly tag the bags.
Also, you cannot get into Palestine/Gaza. There is very, very strict control. You can easily do your ziyaarat at Masjid Al Aqsa but can only go so far out of Jerusalem.
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
O wow..thanks for tip KC!. I was worried a bit..coz..i wanted to put Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in my traveling list of plan as well. My cousin..in fact is going to be doing some exchange program with university in Tel Aviv soon.
But i was worried kay yarr..going to umrah and madina shouldn't be an issue.
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
You shouldn't have a problem..they know the protocol at the airport. She said it was easy and they were very accommodating and understanding.
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
Thank you again KC..i was worried..Pakistan ya kisi Arab country main jatay hoay mushkil na hoye sanu.
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
I didn't think you could visit Masjid Aqsa...really tight security there. The zionists have already started breaking down Masjid Aqsa so that it can be replaced with the temple they intend on building.
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
I thought..you could still pray there. According to goisrael website..it says..only Muslims are allowed to pray there. Not sure..as a tourist..we can.

You can. Don't believe the whole 'Zionist' conspiracy above your post. My friends were there last year and they did pray at Masjid Aqsa.
Re: Traveling to Palestine...
Palestine/Israel being a no go zone is a theory spread by Israeli zionists.
Re: Traveling to Palestine…
In fact, there are so many websites offering tours to Palestine and Israel. Check out this. Green Olive Tours-Israel-Palestine-Alternative Tours-Culture-Politics
Personally, I wouldn’t visit the region as I have young kids and you can never tell with the peace situation there…it can turn pretty violent and scary all of a sudden.

^tum bhi ho aao wahan se.
My response was based on what I've read and watched about Masjid Aqsa. If people are allowed to visit and pray; great. The mosque has been a source of contention though.
Re: Traveling to Palestine…
Better read this all you who’s “friends” have been there.
Re: Traveling to Palestine…
Things have definitely deteriorated. Coincidentally, my cousin just mentioned it me (I talked to her a couple of weeks ago when I got back from Turkey) that it was a good thing they went when they did (end of 2014/beginning of this year) because haalat ab kaafi bigargayi hain, but it was fine when she and her family were there.
Re: Traveling to Palestine…
The gov (sensibly) errs on the side of caution.. Their advice on travel to Pakistan as an example:
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to:
- the Federally Administered Tribal Areas
- the districts of Charsadda, Kohat, Tank, Bannu, Lakki, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Buner and Lower Dir in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
- **the city of Peshawar and districts south of the city, including travel on the Peshawar to Chitral road via the Lowari Pass **
- northern and western Balochistan
- travel on the Karakoram Highway between Islamabad and Gilgit
**There is a high threat from terrorism, kidnap and sectarian violence throughout Pakistan. In the aftermath of an attack on a school in Peshawar in December 2014, there is a heightened threat of terrorist attacks, and kidnapping against western nationals in Pakistan. You should be particularly vigilant at this time and take appropriate security precautions."

Gov advice contrary to what most people on the forum have said about Pakistan being relatively safe (and I don’t mean the tribal areas in particular, the country as a whole)
And similarly with Iran:
**
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to within 100km of the entire Iran/Afghanistan border; within 10km of the entire Iran/Iraq border; the province of Sistan-Baluchistan; and the area east of the line running from Bam to Jask, including Bam.
The FCO advise against all but essential travel to the rest of Iran.

I just came back from Tehran last month and things were ok..
Am not saying Israel or Gaza are “safe” because obviously there ARE risks and major problems whether you’re Jewish, Muslim or whatever else.. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible to go at all though..
**To answer OP’s question, from people who have actually been there:
**
Al Aqsa Mosque (Jerusalem, Israel): Address, Phone Number, Religious Site Reviews - TripAdvisor“Absolutely Beautiful and So Lovingly Cared For”](http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g293983-d324130-r259414402-Al_Aqsa_Mosque-Jerusalem_Jerusalem_District.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT)
**We were blessed to be taken to see the inside of of the Al Aqsa Mosque. It’s absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and lovingly cared for. We see the dome from our apartment and while it looks smaller, it is incredibly large when a person walks in. A nice surprise was to learn that the staff have respectfully kept intact the Crusader’s Church that runs to the side of the mosque. The tour will be a memory and privilege given which we will NEVER forget.

Re: Traveling to Palestine...
Frankly speaking..i wanted to visit Palestine..coz of Masjid Al Aqsa..i prayed so much for being able to pray there once. And of course..i wanted to see all this shabang about Tel Aviv. As long as they don't stamp in my passport..i think it should be good.

As I said it's not an ongoing thing but chances of violence breaking out are quite high.

You do realize the advice is meant for white people and not brown when it comes to Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan? ![]()
