Traveling to PAK with couple of new electronic devices

Hi Folks,

I have quick question. I am traveling to pakistan lahore from VA USA and taking couple of band new electronic devices i.e. one ipad and two iphones for siblings and a friend. I want to know if custom dept on airport in pakistan or usa create any issue. If yes, what could be the work around.

don't pack them in your carry on...and you won't have an issue. we have taken 1 laptops, xbox, camera, mini laptop and a gameboy and we had no issues.

Thanks Rabia, you mean i should pack them in my baggage and should not take them in carry-on (also called hand-carry)?

Keep them in your checked baggage

I visited karachi last year, I have my IPad in my hand bag, not in my check baggage, it's risky to put expensive items in checked baggage, some time it may get lost during transit.

Never put laptops and other expensive electronics in checked baggage. They do get stolen sometimes.

Sorry for the late reply, yes thats what we had to do. But like another person mentioned there is a possibility of it getting stolen. But you place all of it in your carry on (without boxes of course.) you will have to remove them from your hand-carry during security checks etc.

if they are fishing for money then they will create an issue, give them few thousand rupees and they will calm down and let you go.
