Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

weather wise - recomended or not?

Re: Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

For the lovely people that you will meet...definately.

Bitter cold just means more layers and extra socks.

Defo go to Scotland, the people are the warmest in the whole country, will eliminate the whole 'freezing your arse off'

Re: Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

cum to scotland, u will love it but there is loadz of snow at the moment so be careful on the roads etc anywhere in particular ur visiting? :) and its reallllllllllly cold

Re: Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

Re: Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

:(

Cos of the snow and ice, it might not be the safest time to go, may restrict you from doing lots of touring too.

Re: Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

i wouldnt recommend it at the moment, more snow is predicted and i seem to fall every day tryin to get to wrk cos of the snow :( x

Re: Traveling to Ireland or Scotland in late winter

Thanks guys I don't want to run away from snow to more snow. I have heard that both countries are beautiful but summer fares are pricey.

Most of the stuff to do is outdoors anyway right?

^ if you want to see some of the scenery there and take pics etc, then yup :bummer:, best to go when its less cold i think

yeh alot of things are outdoor such as castle and scenery etc, you could look at visiting around march, april time instead of waiting til the summer when the prices go up :)
