Guys, i am travelling to new jersey the same day of ruksati. Its a day time event and we have our flights to New Jersey the same evening. I am confused on what to wear for traveling. Plan is that I ll change before leaving for the airport. Some friends are suggesting to wear a long decent dress or something but family is suggesting to wear shalwar kameez. On shalwar kameez part I am also confused, if i wear one, they are too fancy to travel in (atleast I think so). some are not like full of kaam and stuff but still they are kinda fancy but decent. SO not sure what should I be doing.
What would you do if you were in the same situation? Im just having hard time deciding that’s why need some opinion.
well.. you have to show someway.. you are newly wed. I recommened karaahi wala suit... and forget about the people.. what they think.
you will remember it.. have fun !
or
why don't you delay ... the flight for a day - i mean take next day evening flight. After ruksati go to some hotel.. and.. after having fun.. .and relaxtion.. take a flight next day.. morning or evening..
haha i say dump the desi and go with what u usually wear...travelling with desi clothes on is a NIGHTMARE!!! and plz dont wear a shalwar unless ur useto it...i dunno how long the flight is but dont sacrifice comfort for the sake of fashion...ur a bride but u also need to be practical :)
In my point of view , first know how is weather there? and then not imp u wear pant shirt, my point of view u wear trouser shirt of machine embroidry as trends now a days, it will be simple , elegant , fashionable, as well as comfortale during travel.
my suggestion is is your wedding dress has a nice choli (shirt) wear that with nice jeans to travel.
Veryyy trendy. You can keep a comfy shirt with you for on board and change again into the choli when you land.
Happy traveling :)
Thats very hip and new yorkishhh anyway ;)
I'd wear something super-comfortable like a linen/chiffon shalwar kameez with delicate machine embroidery something subtle and pretty with beads or crystals.
Do you usually wear Pakistani clothes outside of the house on a regular bases? If you do, then maybe something semi-formal like a thread and motif outfit? Its been so hot these days here, I think anything with kaam would be uncomfortable and a waste of an outfit because your travelling in the US.
But whats wrong with western clothes since your in the states? I'll also be traveling the following day to the states but I wouldn't be comfortable in anything other than jeans and a nice shirt or a long dress or skirt just for the plane. I think it would just look silly. Maybe if I was travelling in Pakistan, but not here.

If I was you, I may have opted for salwar kameez with ‘bridal colors’ Because a naye naveli dulhan has her hands full of mehndi and I think it will look ajeeb with Jeans,…
