Travel to London and Paris

Anyone travel to Paris from London via Eurostar? We were thinking of visiting London in February to see family and then possibly taking a trip from there to Paris for 1-2 days or maybe just go through Paris and take TGV to Rome? Anyone here take a trip on the rails from London onward? Any recommendations about travel and also places to see. The only thing I am thinking is it may be very cold in February and with kids not sure that is a good idea? What are some other places to go to from London (outside of London) that are nice, scenic, fun, tourist sights…etc that are recommended? Any advice is appreciated.

u are right...Paris may still be quite cold with risks of blizzards and won't be a nice trip, especially with kids. i wud say better go to spain...nice and warm with lots to see and enjoy.

Any idea if Sain is reachable via London or not? Also what is there to do in Spain if you have been there?

You can take train down to Spain but it might be just cheaper to fly there directly or from any airport from London. Flights are much cheaper than trains.

I found Spain to be pretty kid friendly. Barcelona has nice parks. Sotherrn spain has lots of beach activities. Malaga / Alhumbra / Granada / Cordoba has lots of Islamic history. You can just walk around the small towns and get a feel for Spanish culture. Seville and Madrid are bigger metropolitian cities but southern Spain is probably my favorite.
