Don’t forget social networks like Facebook and Twitter (and GS of course!) which are useful not only for planning before you go, but also for once you’re on the road, since you can continue to access them through your mobile device. Ask in your status update: Does anyone know a good-value hotel in Rome? Coolest spots for dessert and coffee in New York? The best place to get cowboy boots in San Antonio? You’ll be surprised at the number and variety of suggestions you’ll get.
Thanks for sharing this travel tips. I'm a frequent traveler and always explore different countries. I love learning the culture and history of different races. Traveling is my stress reliever after a long work and stress. I make myself comfort in traveling.
OK I will be very careful about that. This maybe a great assumption. Cancellation deadline is usually within 24 hours of the check in time, that means that for me to check in on Friday, i am calling on Thursday to book a room. That is too much of a risk to take.
Couple of things that may not be tips, but we do that, especially when traveling with kids.
through the experience, we learnt that hotel is part of the travel experience, so we never go for under four star hotel. I shop for good price, but like to stick with higher end hotels. We enjoy good time in the pool or lobby, which adds to the vacationing experience, that only a good hotel can offer.
having said what I said above, before we reach the hotel, we stop by at a local supermarket and pick a case of water, some fruits, snacks, paper plates, paper towel roll and a can of air freshener. This is not an expense, but a huge convenience and money saver, especially if you're staying in that hotel for more than two nights.
Hehehe.. I have once experienced this on a flight to Singapore. The family next to me was traveling to Australia and the cute angel baby made my sleep a `hell’.

Awesome..tip. I always did this..whenever i went to states for period of 2 weeks or so. Mostly work trips..i used to exactly same. Rented car at airport...go to wall greens and pick up stuff..and chill at hotel.
I will be going to Florida, Chicago, NY and New Zealand soon for business trip insha'Allah. Really looking forward to it. But that is exactly insha'allah what i am going to do. Stop at grocery grab some stuff and then chill.
make sure that the place/hotel you stay has a nearby supermarket in case you need to top up on first aid stuff, food, milk, esp bottled water in eastern countries, emergency clothes etc etc. such a life saver!!
I always do that, especially for water bottles. In touristy places a 500ml bottle can cost you 2 euro easily while in stores you can get same bottle for 60 or 70 cents.
Dia, Lidl, Simply and Carrefour are some of the large stores spread around Paris and other cities in France. Lidl is cheapest among all is also present in Germany and Italy.
I started carrying a charger strip with us, when we stay at hotels. Between our phones, kids tablets and laptops , there are never enough electrical outlets in a hotel room

Liked the tip about being open-minded. It’s always a trouble for most part of the tourists, cause we always feel suspicious about people whose language we can’t understand quite well (if it’s not your mother language country you’re visiting). Locals can help you out in difficult situations. Being open-minded is not only about comfort, it’s about making new acquaintances and friends all over the world!
