I always get travel-sick too esp' when flying or sitting as a back-seat passenger in a car. But I never feel sick when I am driving.
Some remedies for car journeys that help me are:
- Sitting in the front passenger seat (if someone else is driving) as I noticed I always feel sick in the back! If sitting in the back seat, then I concentrate on a distant object e.g. a person 300 years away or a traffic light...basically I just look out of the window throughout the whole journey! Lol!
- Don't read books ot text msg!
- Eat ginger biscuits or chew tiny fresh ginger pieces!
- Listen to music!
- Wear acupressure wrist bands, which you can buy from the chemist section in Sainsburys.
- Make sure you get a flow of fresh air.
When taking off on a plane, chew a sweet; gulp continously or pinch your nose and gently blow to open your ears.
