I have been using this one travel agent for the past few years but with time he has become careless, expensive and less responsive, typical desi biz attitude around here…
Can anyone in the Chicago area or in North America recommend a trust worthy and decent agent who can help with my travel needs to PK?
I know, these desi travel agent can be so annoying.

Which one are you talking about. I have been a regular customer of Thampi for many years and never had any problem (and I also get the best possible fare from him).
I'm also a regular customer of Tambi and franci.
As for best fare, I dunno .. they are getting expensive.

It´s not them, it´s the airlines. :)
I spoke to my agent again and asked him to make reservations on a different airline (swithced from PIA to Kuwait) and the prices went down drastically (22%) ... so I guess you are correct... when purchasing tix for the whole family 22% of savings on each traveler could spell into big time savings...

cause it takes the desis without having to switch flights which most of desi confused about :)

On one hand they are asking people to fly with "aap ki apni" airline and then they are charging more than double the amount of the fares with other airlines.
Ridiculous.
