Veiled (concealed) beauty look much better.

I think the transliteration for this is that sometimes beauty that is made too obvious is not always the most attractive and sometimes veiling that beauty makes it more attractive.

I believe this for covering ones self up and being modest. If you are revealing all the beauty that Allah has given you, (e.g. showing too much body), you dont really leave much to the imagination and men only look at you as a night time trophy to be conquered. Veiling your physical beauty makes men more curious and interested to know you more!

this is like a proverb and i realise they are not easy to translate. does any one an exact proverb which fits this

I think if she is in purda den no1 will know she has beauty or not, and if no1 knows she has beauty or not den how wud one know say looks achi in it. The proverb is entirely wrong.
U can go for something like Beauty is skin deep or why not beauty is in the eyes of beholder so it can be valid to say it is gud in covers. ;P
But nyhow english is a lingo of west and those ppl have no sharam o haya concept thingi so forget about them forming a translated version of this proverb. Ya they can give u dis translation which is perfect by their standards, "Talibanizaton" or " Domestic violence against women"

When you put all your goods out there, it leaves little to the imagination. And that can turn people off. What's mysterious is more alluring sometimes.
