what is the translation of “Inna Lillahhe waina ilahi rajeoun”??
I know it means kind of “rest in peace” but would like to know literal translation…thx!

It pretty much sums up all the emotions in one, while realizing that Allah(SWT) is the creator, to him we eventually return.
It's meant to express sorrow, while advocating patience at the same time.

btw....this phrase is not used only at the time of death.....
it is suitable and recommended at any time when misfortune or tragedy strikes.
