I , sometimes wonder why Islamic scholars translate RASOOL as APOSTLE. This has been translated by A Yusuf Ali, Abu Daowd, Abdul Hameed Allani.
According to Oxford Dictionary; apostle is one of the 12 disciples chosen by Christ to preach his gospel.
Some scholars has translatd as Messanger. Gabriel was messanger as well. Mr Pickehthall Has not translated, he wrote RASOOL.
