Umm as from what I am aware.
The Imam just asks that you are consenting to the marriage. Three times.
Hence the 'kabool hai kabool hai kabool hai' In urdu I consent x three
This is asked to both the bride and groom.
Though I have heard of a longer version of Nikah which is when there are mixed marriages between Muslims and Non Muslims and the Imam guides the person in the way of converting to islam...prior to asking whether the individuals are consenting to the marriage. This is when it is done on the day if there is doubt one is a muslim. I think this dates back to when Hindus muslims were living together (though I am not sure)
This is all I am aware of. I am sure other guppies have better insight. Maybe this post should be put in the religion section if there is arabic that needs to be translated? But mainly I think Nikkah is carried out in the individuals mother tongue.
