I am going to start this thread by sharing translation of a short story by great marathi writer P.L.Deshpande
so this is a mere try by translator as lot of humor and essence of language is lost in translation…
In maharashtra you will never find an educated person who does not know P.L.Deshpande(Pu.La. Deshpande as he is famously known in maharashtra) due to his name Purushottam lakshaman/laxaman deshpande. ..his writing used to be full of humor as well as human emotions…I never saw any other writer like him but thats my personal opinion…

Amar Jaleel is a famous writer in Pakistan. He wrote many short stories in Sindhi, which have been translated in English and Punjabi. Amar Jaleel also wrote many serials for PTV both in Sindhi & Urdu. His serials Saarang, Bhanwar, Zeest were well received by the viewers.
Here is the link for his short stories translated in English. A Train to Karachi is a master piece, which deals with the experience of a Sindhi Hindu, who migrated to India and came to visit Karachi after 50 years.
