I loved the movie, although I wish there was more dialogue between the autobots. Shia is such a cutie pie. He’s going to become a super star! I can’t wait for the sequel. :rotato: Obviously, the badies will re-emerge from the ocean. Like, duh!
What a summer rush, pure enjoyable summer spectacle, it wasn't overladen with 50 sub plots like POTC and it did not have the almost depressing darkness of SM3 and HP. this was pure semi mindless fun and it's up there with Jurassic park because of it's almost flawless visuals. (lots of homages to a lot of the cartoons and to various movies ranging from The Rock to Armageddon and even Star trek)
Great CGI, bad bad plot. I guess its understandable since this is a 4th-ish of July release there is emphasis on american heroism and freedom and patriotism and all those things americans dream that they were.
As per all Hollywood robot movies, the real heroes of the movie i.e. the Autobots take a backseat while the humans (buncha ramboish army guys, a scantily clad chick, a token black guy, a chick with a finnish accent and a horny teenager) are in control and
ultimately it is the teenager who kills Megatron, whereas the leader of the autobots Optimus Prime gets his ass kicked real bad
.
Not worth waiting 1 hour in line for.
6 lotas out of 10 on the Lotameter.
Sincerely,
Captain Lota
Edit: Sorry zakk
After seeing the movie, I'd say that's a reasonable score. The movie was somewhat entertaining. As a Transformers fan watching a Transformers movie, I wasn't impressed with this one. IMO the 1986 Transformers movie is better than the 2007 one by far.
