I haven't seen it yet. I've been following news about it for a while. The Transformers designs suck and according to a few reviews I've read, they gave too much screen time to the humans and not enough to the transformers themselves.

I might eventually watch it out of curiosity but I'm in no rush to see it now. I'll just watch the 1986 Transformers movie instead.

^ it’s actually gotten quite good reviews..far better than the other blockbusters of the year.. doesn’t show in the uk for another 2 + weeks..and thanks to lota sahib i now know the best bit:mad:

I loved it! The movie had its flaws (cheesiness) but did it in a way that paid homage to the cheesiness of the cartoons themselves.

i have seen it, its an awesome movie... infact amaizing.... really intelligent technology has been used.

I saw it and it doesn't look like a Spielberg movie.

The makers took an amazing concept and ruined the story. Some parts and fights were unnecessary stretched out. Other parts were not.

I want to learn more about Autobots. Who is OmegaPrime? What's his story? He was in a single close combat scene and it was amazing. He got kicked around by Megatron. More about the 'bots and less about the pimply, horny humans.

OK, I saw it today, it was so much fun. I didn't go in expecting to see an intellectual movie or anything, I went in expecting to see a summer popcorn chomping action packed blockbuster, which is exactly what it was.

Now, the things I didn't like:

  • The obvious American military/freedom propoganda
  • The fact that a couple of American soldiers were helping along a little Arab boy, that would NEVER happen in real life
  • The broad with the kiwi or Aussie accent (what is this fascination with British and Aussie accents, lately everything/one has a British accent, show announcers, Madonna, what gives? It's cheap)
  • The supposed network hack "sound"? WTF?

OK, but still, great movie, go watch it.

I loved it too! had a great time, bumble bee was so cute and optimus prime :love: Loved the transformations and those annoying little bots arrrghhhh felt like picking them up and bashing them against the ground. American heroism was overplayed but still a fun movie to watch.

and british accents are not cheap :mad:

Yea Graphics were great. But Plot very bad. I hated it when the transformers kept giving speeches about how humans are good even though they are bad this and that this and that and they can't harm humans even if it costs them their lives. what crap.

The entire mission of the autobots was always to get the cube before Megatron does without hurting humans in the process. The speech lasted a whopping 30 seconds.

The movie was based on the cartoons but I had a problem with the fact that Bumblebee was a corvette not a beetle. I know it's an American movie but come on.

I also didn't like the battle between Megatron and Prime. Megatron was basically whipping Prime until the kid killed him. Prime was and always is stronger than Megatron. Too many humans in the movie but at least I got the pleasure of watching my childhood hero.

the first movie was the set up, so it takes longer to get everything going

only few comic book/cartoon adaptions have pulled it off like Batman Begins

It was a kool movie, brought back old memories. I was wondering, if they will make a movie on the cartoons Challenge of the Gobots as well...!!! That would be kool too. The cars, all of them were amazing, especially my favorite, 6500 & the Denali. I just loved this movie, bad plot, totally stupid theories in the network, but the autobots were amazingly cool.

hollywood always finds a niche concept and starts turning out lots of movies until over saturation finishes off that concept

the reason megan fox looks like angelina jolie is that both are half white and half native american....

so it gives them this exotic look

Right now, its working, the sequels to old movies are faring off pretty well. Perhaps they are running out of good ideas or good books. Both ways, they are minting money...rocky balboa, die hard 4.0, oceans 13...etc.
