Does anyone know whether the ATI Radeon 9500 is able to capture video?

Re: Transfering VHS onto PC?

^^ Is that a TV tuner card or just a graphic card ? If you have place in the back of the card to put the coax cable there then you would be able to capture as well.

Re: Transfering VHS onto PC?

Yeah I bought this tv tuner card from FRYs, but that piece of crap did not work…I got the audio to work, but the video never showed up…

Re: Transfering VHS onto PC?

Get ATI-AIW 9600 Pro or up and you've got yourself a VHS to MPEG/AVI/WMV/MOV/etc./etc. converter

Re: Transfering VHS onto PC?

  • Go to Circuit City/Best Buy, pick up a VCR/DVD recorder combo unit
  • Bring home and convert VHS tape to DVD
  • Once in DVD format you can do whatever you want with it on the computer
  • Take back the combo unit and return from above store.

Re: Transfering VHS onto PC?

Good Idea, I’ll try that…
