Train Travel

I am contemplating a trip to either Lahore or Islamabad on my next trip to pakistan (which is gonna be here very shortly). I plan on traveling via the train from Karachi. I was told that railways now has some new Chinese trains.. is this true? Does it make a difference?

Also, does anyone know of any web sites that actually talk about a railroad trip through pakistan especially to northern area??

Any help in this subject would be appreciated…

that chinese train is a fast one that has minimal stops it goes up to lahore

well train is always fun specially with ur family ... u get to see the land scape change. i went pak last year the train service has imroved i have to say :)
