Train from Rawalpindi To Lahore

I want a non-stop service from Rawalpindi to Lahore - which train do I get? How long will it take and how much will it cost me? (which seating areas - e.g. first class, second, economy) would your reccommend?) Also is it safe to travel on pakistani trains? Can tickets be obtained on the day of travel?

There is only one non-stop train from Rawalpindi to Lahore per day and that is the "Lahore Non-Stop" (Train Code: 108 DN).

Available seating classes on that train: Parlor Car, AC Lower and Economy

^ thanks - It takes 4.5 hpurs? I thought as it being a non-stop service it'll take between 2-3 hours. Do you know how much it would cost?

Umer Bhai - what about the coach service? how long does it take?

Well, I have a great experience with this nonstop, this leaves from Rawalpindi at 6PM I think. It takes 3.5 hrs. and really comfortable. It really isnt totally non-stop, it takes a half second stop at 2 stations. But the best thing about it is the comfort. I dont remember now, but I think it will cost you about 400 rs. If you take first class. and the seats are really comfortable. You can get the tickets on the same day,but it is better to make a booking in advance.

The Daewoo Bus service takes 4 hours 20 minutes from their Rawalpindi Terminal (close to Pirwadai) to Lahore Terminal (on Ferozepur Road close to Kalma Chauk).

The train takes just 3 hours 30 minutes from Rawalpindi station to Lahore station. But in our case Daewoo is still more suitable, because it's a 45 minutes drive to Lahore station for us and in Rawalpindi the Daewoo Terminal is also closer to our relatives' place than the Train station.

Is it easier by flight? an hour max? am I likely to face any problems at Islamabad/Lahore airport?

the cruising time btw isb - lhr is not more than 15 mins...add another 10 mins each for take-off and approac/landing....perhaps the most easiest way to get to lhr.

Asslam oalikum all brothers.
My home is in Gujranwala and i m planning to travel with BA this time which only fly to Islamabad and the positive thing is that their ticket is valid for one year. So can any one guide me about any best option from Rawal pindi to Gujranwala. The arrival time of BA is around 6 am at islamabad airport. i need some comfortable and fatsest service .
