Train cases for your makeup.

Any of you guys have a train case that you use to travel w/ makeup or to store it? I’m eyeing the Sephora one in light pink but it’s OOS for now, it’ll be back shortly (hopefully).

I currently have this Black Lace Caboodles one:

It’s the same one she has in this video:

I was looking for a bigger one (the Sephora one is a bit bigger than the Caboodles one) for when I move to a different country in a few months and don’t want to risk crumbling my makeup (like my beloved blushes and eyeshadows) so wanted something sturdy and spacious which could carry my entire stash and that way I could carry it along rather than have to pack it away and risk getting it jumbled around or worse…breaking.

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

these are so cool, wish i could get any of them :(...thats one disadvantage of living in Pak, u dont get to buy anything u need easily.

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

I think they're cute and I love them for storing makeup...but I never figured out how they're used for travelling esp since so many airlines keep decreasing the weight limits for suitcases and/or are charging for extra baggage/carryon.

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

I have something similar to the pink one.It was a gift and it has always been on a shelf in my closet, taking up the otherwise much needed space. My husband used to call it teh ‘atomic bomb’,due to its huge size…:hehe:.I have never felt the need (or found the luggage space) to use it …but maybe because I do not have lotsssss of make up,just the basics which I can very well carry in a soft/quilted kinda vanity. For storage I just store stuff in smaller baskets in my dresser drawer.

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

I know but I have quite a stash so I need something this sized. Plus, I can use it as a carry-on, I think most flights allow 2 hand-carrys.

lol@ atomic bomb. My collection is kinda medium-small so I need 2 traincases to carry all my makeup. It would never fit in a bag, I’d need a big cardboard box to carry them but that would def. not be good for traveling purposes. I have a lot of matte things and they crack so easily.

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

I'm nor sure about first class/business class, but most flights only allow you to carry one purse/handbag and one carry-on. Some airlines have even gotten rigid about weighing the carry-ons. Check the luggage limits beforehand.

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

Yeah, I will check everything before that. I'll fit whatever I can in the traincase and things which aren't at risk of breaking (lipglosses/brushes etc) I'll just store in the black Caboodles case and get it packed away.

M_was_here : My MUA used to carry her makeup in cases like these but with wheels. Do the above boxes come where someone can use them as a carry on.???

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

I have a green one but my makeup doesnt fit anymore. I'm going to have to get a bigger one

Re: Train cases for your makeup.

There are some that come w/ wheels but they are VERY bulky.

And I found this one amazing one but it’s exclusive to Target. It’s by Sonia Kashuk and it’s called Sonia Kashuk Luxe Agent Provocateur Train Case

Here’s a review of it from a blog w/ more pictures.

I think it looks AWESOME and would make a great bridal gift as well, no? Esp. for those girls that have a smaller collection. It’s pretty huge (18" wide) so it could def. fit polishes and even foundations if laid flat. And it’s only $34.99 + shipping. I think I’m going to get it and see how it works since it’s not sold in stores.
