Destroyed under the orders of Emperor Titus in 77 AD and jews were expelled, it took them 2000 years to reclaim the holy land, they got it in year 1973. It is wonderful city, full of history. I love this city, as eternal as my delhi

There is nothing Islamic in such destruction, though many would consider it Islamic.

probably Writer meant about all religions that existed in this region, Hinduism, Alexander’s governers and Islam. It is said that Pathans were Buddhist before Islam came and they had made this idols, well Buddhism is very weak in India, but stronger all around India
