Traffic updates from police FM station
KARACHI: The Sindh police department has decided to set up a media cell and FM radio service at its central office in Karachi so that it can maintain contact with the media and public and provide information such as traffic updates.
Additional Inspector General Police Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui stated this at a meeting with a three-member delegation from FM-105 radio at the central police office, Sunday.
The delegation assured the IGP of their cooperation in providing their services to broadcast traffic information such as alternate routes. Siddiqui said that the media cell was being established as part of the ‘e-policing’ programme to help the citizens. ppi
