Re: Traditional Cuisine

Don't think that this is common in Urdu speaking familis. They might call it chawal ki roti. DA might know about the Punjabi name.

Re: Traditional Cuisine

Its like that but the water is thick and spicy. ye to mareezon wala achar lag raha hai :hehe:

BTW, they also makes achaarof Gobhi :bummer:

Re: Traditional Cuisine

This is true , i have never seen Urdu people talking about it.

I love chilra with saag n desi ghee, had it a week ago :stuck_out_tongue:

ghobi da achra, koi shaye ni choray hinay tauba

Re: Traditional Cuisine

so yummy and pure maakhi. what they call ‘shehd ki makhi’ in Saraiki.. we call it ‘makhkho’ :hehe:

Re: Traditional Cuisine

I don’t like honey from here, it is all artificial . Always looking for pure honey from Pakistan. Whenever any one goes to pak, brings honey from there.

Re: Traditional Cuisine

There is also a thick roti made from rice flour. We eat it with machi ka salan (pala machli).

There is a joke about that roti. a foreigner came in village and she was serviced with chawal ki roti and fried aaloo. after having aaloo, she said "Thanks for the chips and please pick up your plate’ :omg:

Re: Traditional Cuisine

hahaha

I will try this next time but it must be hard to eat with machli ?

Qasm Pala machli di :omg:

Re: Traditional Cuisine

It also tastes good with gosht ka saalan

Re: Traditional Cuisine

And Daal or moong

Re: Traditional Cuisine

Re: Traditional Cuisine
