Don’t think that this is common in Urdu speaking familis. They might call it chawal ki roti. DA might know about the Punjabi name.

I don’t like honey from here, it is all artificial . Always looking for pure honey from Pakistan. Whenever any one goes to pak, brings honey from there.

There is also a thick roti made from rice flour. We eat it with machi ka salan (pala machli).
There is a joke about that roti. a foreigner came in village and she was serviced with chawal ki roti and fried aaloo. after having aaloo, she said "Thanks for the chips and please pick up your plate’ ![]()

This is Baajre ki roti. chawal ki roti looks like it, but its white in color.

as a kid, i LOVED Thokoa…it’s made from dry modified Mahua flowers…it’s gives you a nunique taste N flavour…LOVED it as snake…looks like roGhnii roTii. ![]()
