**ISLAMABAD: **
Pakistan Army offered on Thursday to assist the federal government in implementing its ambitious Prime Minister?s Housing Programme aimed at building five million residential units for lower- and middle-income segments of society.
The offer was made during a meeting of the taskforce on housing chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan here.
Army?s representatives gave a detailed presentation to the PM and members of the taskforce on its experience in building low-cost housing units for its personnel.
?Lt-Gen Moazzam Ajaz, the Quarter-Master General, made a detailed presentation on army?s experience in catering to housing needs of its personnel. He also offered Army?s ? assistance in implementing the five million housing project,? read a statement issued by the PM office after the meeting.
The PM, it was decided, would formally launch this project in the first half of next month and the process of registration would also commence soon after the project?s launch.
The meeting was informed that an apex body would be created to ensure the project?s seamless execution.
Almost all of the CPEC projects awarded by PMLn to either army wings or Chinese companies. it is hypocrisy that nobody talks about it when same is done by PPP/PMLn

I had the same discussion regarding aid with a family member who is very pro-PTI but the PTI reality is much different from actual reality just like actual news is different from trump news.
The other issue is now when the other shoe would drop regarding IMF. Iron brothers aren’t willing to give blank checks if you don’t favor their companies in CPEC or act as a rakheel in yemen. Imran really did a disservice with all this welfare state nonsense when you need actual tax payers and reduced defense spending to make it happen. We know neither of that is happening in 90 days.
