Re: Tracking Cookies
CCleaner is an excellent software, Teg. ![]()
There is a common misconception that cookies are harmful…this is actually not so true. Cookies only contain data, not programmed code i.e they cannot erase or read information from your PC. Cookies only allow for the tracking of what web pages have been visited, and usually do not contain personal info, however it has been known that some some sites have abused the personal identification aspect of cookies and have shared them…
Just make sure you regularly clear your cache, or enable the setting to automatically clear your private data via your web browser… ![]()
I’m not sure what the difference is between the AVG trial and full…but obviously the trial version must have some limitations …so it is important that you utlise the excellent freeware available on the net to keep your system secure…some other freeware i find to be useful are:
-
SpyBot Search and Destroy](Client Challenge)
-
SpywareBlaster 4.2](SpywareBlaster for Windows - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download)
Utilise such utilities to make sure your system is clear of any nasties ![]()
