Re: Toys for toddler

My mom bought my daughter (22 months) a numbers puzzle (1-10) and an alphabet puzzle (A-Z). The alphabet one also has pictures of words that start with each letter. She can count from 1-20 and can almost say the whole alphabet but has not yet learned to actually recognize what each number and letter look like. I think these type of puzzles will certainly help her get there.

Get more books. You can never have too many books.

Kids this age also like musical toys. My daughter has a little piano that plays pre-recorded songs and she can also just press keys and make up her own music too.

I know summer is almost over but we got her a water table that she plays with on hot days in the backyard.

A remote control car. Boys love those. Even my daughter has one.

Duplo/Lego blocks.

Another toy I really want to get for her is “Mr. Potato Head.” I think this is one of those classic toys that kids through the generations can enjoy.

What about a little kitchen set? Boys and girls both enjoy those. They love to copy what mama does. So they will have fun pretending to cook etc.

Re: Toys for toddler

we have lot of activities that I made for my son along with his toys…
He has wooden puzzles and foam puzzles (both small and floor), cars/vehicles—big and small, doodle board, crayons, coloring book (i make them at home with white construction paper), riding/pushing toys, grocery/food basket, stacking cups, random cups that I bought on sale. Duplo/Lego, wooden blocks, multi color magnets for sorting, magnetic alphabets and number—sorting into colors, recognizing alphabet names, play doh, bean bucket with various size spoons/cups and containers, books—plenty of them, easter eggs with little toys in side (we talk about colors, naming objects, describing them), balls—big and small, play phone and many other little things that I pick from $spot at target.
