Firstly Dubai was a very eye opening experience depite the extreme heat there at the time.
I initially decided to visit the UAE and particularly Dubai becuase it was considered a safer than other Arab countries becuase there is less of a serious threat from security issues like terrorism or extremist factions operating indiscriminately. Compared to countries like the Yemen and greater Saudi Arabia it is much safer to visit.
For a young adventurer like myself there was certainly plenty of things to do, for a start the hotel wasn't far from the beach and the tourist infrastructure and facilities were among the best i had seen anywhere.
Dubai was particulalry enjoyable due to the fact that it was a very different experience and allowed a good mix of cultures to flourish. I found the locals most hospitable and the variuous facilities were of a very high standard.
Jet skiing, horse and camel riding, dune buggy racing and plenty of nightlife ensured Dubai was one of my most action packed adventures. I found that there was very little traffic and for a man who enjoys the pleasures of the automobile i found Dubai was a great country for driving both on and off the road.
The only downside to my trip was the extreme heat which outside the hotel was very oppressive and would be difficuilt for those of weak or ill health. The other downside was the cost which was far more than i expected to pay.
However Dubai was still a most enjoyable country to visit and the heat was hardly an issue from the lush and luxurious hotel Besaray in which i had the privillege to stay. There were plenty of water cooling facilities and to be honest despite the price tag it was certainly worth the trip. I took full advantage of the various indoor lesuire facilities of which there are too many to list, suffice to say there was a very great variety of indoor activities which were less strenous and physically demanding, such as swimming and indoor golf.
I also found nightime football and rooftop tennis particulalry exiting activities.
I think if there was another opurtunity to visit i would certianly do so as i have heard that Dubai has grown somewhat and that there are even more activities and attractions there particulaly talk about several new theme parks all sound very exiting and would make it a worthwhile trip for the whole fammily.

I had no choice my flight landed there and i visited the airport not really dubai.. But the airport was pretty cool! It had palm trees in it which made me go waaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I think I jumped ahead of myself… I liked it coz of the palm trees

and I made friends with a loser perv uncle who wudnt get off my case… Not a good experience I would say

I went with family, it just happened we were flying with emirates one year and decided to stop over for 5 nights.
Did you like it? Why
I loved it. We stayed at the Madinat Jumeirah hotel, it was mint. We were treated like royalty and everyone there made it a memorable experience for us.

I did visit again, Last summer. and it was just as good. i went there for work purposes/ holiday. Loved it again. The reason being, again everyone was lovely, the places I visited were great and the weather was amazing - some would say too hot but i'm a fan of hot weather. Considering we hardly get any sun in the UK i was making the most of it.
Would definitely go again
