well ehsan bhai its 2 matches and both openers have got ducks... khair lets see what happens on 8th
plus the thing with Afridi is that he can cover up his batting failure with his bowling and vice versa !

That right Saby, Afridi can cover up his performence with his bowling and vice versa...but Saleem Elahi can't even do that...No one is jumping to conclusions here, he did play well in Zimbabve, but I guess South African picthes are a different story and he doesn't feel comfortbale on them...But lets wait see how he does in the future of this series...but what I would recomend is that Pakistan go with Faisal Iqbal Instead of Saleem Elahi and Kamran Akmal for Taufeeq Umer....How Saleem Elahi is not good Test Match player, Taufeeq isn't a one day player...he should just be kept for test matches.

your point is absoultely right yaasir!
but the reason is that Kamran Akmal is inexperienced and you noticed what an experiencde player like Rashid can do in a pressure situation like yesterday when he scored 20 odd quick runs along with inzimam.
so lets keep our fingers crossed that our openers are able to adjust and score.! One thing is for sure for me! Faisal Iqbal MUST be one of them!

For gods sake, can we please leave Saeed Anwar alone, his days have gone by, he is finished, please forget about him.
As much as I would like to see him play again but we need to think about well being of the team, not our desires.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we need to keep these losers like Taufeeq and Elahi, but anyone else but Anwar.
The guy was struggling for runs against Kenya and Holland, how in the world would he compete against the likes of Australia and South Africa.
Our batsmans are fortunate that they don't have to face the world's best bowling attack of Pakistan, warna they would have set new lowest records.
Faisal Iqbal should be promoted to open, Elahi and Taufeeq have to show some promise to get a one day call, sadly I have to say but Afridi looks like the only choice, if he can change his game a little bit, he can be veryy effective.

umair, i know wot u r trying to say about his days being over! which is kinda true but u have to understand he had a remarkable career and on various occasions he won many matches for pakistan. show some respect for him. he is saying he is ready to paly. he wants to play more. wots wrong with our ppl! when did he struggle against kenya and holland? i dont remember seriously!

he deserves a position in world cup squad no matter wot! he has done so much for pakistan and at this point when he is about to leave cricket, dont let him down. atleast show some reverence. let him play for the world cup and see how he does.obviously he will be gone after the world cup, which is understandable. but wot these guyz r doing to him right now is totally unacceptable!

if he wants to play let him playy!!! dont praise these losers like elahi! elahi suckssssssss! this is guy is worthless! saeed could have scored as many runs as elahi against the weak zimb bowling attack!

go check his stats from moroco cup and kenya cup! he never had a duck! twice he scored a 50 with highest 78! and most of the time he made over 20! this was bcz he had lost his daughter and besides he just recovered from an injury!

we ppl r just so insensitive and heartless!! give another thought to it and ask urself this question! he deserves a place in world cup squad or not? im sure most of us would speak in favor of him! trust me u give him one more chance which is a last one bcz he will be gone after world cup! simply just show some respect atleast and let the guy playyyyyy!

Kamran Akmal???
where did he go?

I'll have a decent idea about Taufeeq and Elahi after the first 3 one dayers. I wouldn't base a judgement on a couple of bad scores.
