i’ve had long hair since 6th grade, now i’m a senior in college
when i was coming to america for college as a freshman, mummy got me a haircut in pakistan, layers till mid back.
but then i just let it grow with trims and didn’t get it cut…every time i went home mummy said katwa lo but i was like naheeeeennn…
now the thing is, my hair is still long, like b/w shoulders and kamar, and i always put it in a quick bun or palit, in shaadis waghera i leave it open, or just put one clasp at the back…
i always used to like it but recently i feel like it looks too plain? so i’m thinking of getting layers…especially since my best friend just got layers and so did my cousin bhabi..and with layers one can just keep them open mostly…
but like i havent done ANYTHING to my hair for the LONGEST time and i am not totally convinced if i should get the haircut or not…i mean there’s beauty in simplicity as well, and i just cannot decide if i should go for that or the layers wali look
i’ve already asked all my friends and cousins and most of them are telling me to go for it, though some are saying no keep them the way they are…my brothers couldnt care less, they’re like jo bhee karo gi shakal toh aisee hee rahay gi
mujhay kuch samajh nahee aa raha kya karoon
uff i am so confused
now my cousin is getting married this summer, his mangni might be in december infact, so i need to decide very fast
** punjabi-munda** tell me about it nothing can be worse than the dilemma i am facing btw, what problems r u facing??
** coconut ** how am i supposed to know if it suits me until i get it done?? besides, its not just abt suiting u, its abt like. how do i explain..like if u havent done something to ur apperance for a long time and then suddenly u go for this big change and obviously everyone’s gonna comment on it…its like ur whole life’s gonna change u know!!! uff its too much pressure
Its difficult to say without knowing what you look like.
However, your hair-life seems pretty boring from what you describe. I think you should def go for a new look :k:
(If your experiment fails for any reason you need not worry too much.. it WILL -grow -back!)
go for it :k: .. change will not only look good but also make u feel good.. n besides.. like others have already said.. they will grow back again..no need to worry sis
I had nice long wavy hair, and then after years I finally decided to cut it to just above shoulder length. It was scary, but I am glad I did it. Looks pretty decent, plus I know the hair will grow back to its original length anyway. Change can be good. Try it. If you dont like it, well atleast you know that a few years down the line you wont have to second guess about getting such a haircut/style again.
People will comment even if you dont get a haircut. Thats what I have learned. grin
Its totally up to you - do what you feel comfortable with - and whatever you decide, don’t let yourself regret it, I mean if you don’t like it, you can always let it grow back again, and if you’re unsure about going to short, you can compromise, cut off a few inches 'n see
faatma, my suggestion would be for you is kay before going for a total change..try doing a free virtual makeover..there are sites on net where you can upload your pic and can try different hairstyles..you can always see yourself before and after pics..
when i have long hairs...i end up getting mega short hairstyle coz i get so tired of them..and when i have bobs i want long hairs..so you gotta be careful in changing the hairstyle..what i found that works for me is something really neat..its a combo of both..like my hairs in the front are like bob and the left over are long..so i get to enjoy both long and short styles :)
It's hair it will grow back eventually it's not going to be the end of the world.........I use to have really long like yours...........now my hair is like just above my shoulders.......I say go for it...........change is good!!!
