Touchy Subjects...

Re: Touchy Subjects…

Lo…:smack: Is mein un-peaceful kya baat hai?

All I am asking is how do you tackle touchy subjects with a spouse WITHOUT it blowing up into a fight or something.

Re: Touchy Subjects...

There is a nice way to say everything, from weight to money.

Re: Touchy Subjects…

You said it is weirder if one never had a uncomfortable discussion with their spouse. Some folks never had any kind of argument , disagreement , fight or a blown up issue , how can we call it weird behavior , all it can be called is a peaceful marriage . Right ?

Re: Touchy Subjects...

Kehnay mein Kia herj hai .......... Mood theek nahi to lapait kar mou pe day marain. Agar bat bighaR gaii to fikar not muk muka kar lain baad mein.

Waise hayrat hay desi khatoon ne sawal pocha hay..... Hum ne Sunna hay desi khwateen ke shuhar bechare to khatoone khana ki marzi ke baghair zoor se sanss bhi nahi lay skate.

Re: Touchy Subjects...

Reha, this is what I do. Anytime I need yo talk to him about something sensitive, I take him to a nice cozy restaurant. While we are eating, I bring up the subject. He has never gotten upset and It keeps me from exploding too. Usually I am the one too sensitive about the subject because it's affecting me the most. When I am not Alone with him, I behave. Lol. Obviously if your hubby doesn't hold back anyhing even in public then I don't suggest you do this.

Re: Touchy Subjects...

uncomfortable does not equal a fight, disagreement or a blow up.

Re: Touchy Subjects…

You equated the two in post # 21 above and I quote:

Re: Touchy Subjects...

I thought I had reiterated.

Re: Touchy Subjects...

rule 1 of a happily married life - never discuss any touchy subject

Re: Touchy Subjects…

:hehe: its so funny that however reha started with “when you’re trying to talk to your spouse”, - making it sound like a non-gender specific question, she switched to “his strange parents” …making it obvious that she believes that its always men who are at fault.

Re: Touchy Subjects...

because men are always at fault and women are never wrong :)

Re: Touchy Subjects…

why is it funny?? its old news :hehe:

Re: Touchy Subjects…

Exactly.

Hence I pointed out in earlier post ‘his’ in the question asked.

Re: Touchy Subjects...

I wait for the right moment. As his wife I can usually tell from his mood when he will be receptive to my suggestions.
