Totally stupid!

So my mother was just trying to teach my younger brother how to use a word in a sentence…her attempt of teaching him how to speak Urdu and I couldn’t help but remember this incident BACKK in the day which still cracks me up…

Back in Pakistan…I must have been around 9 10 years old…and my brother who’s an year older then me had a urdu exam the next day and so my dad was helping him out with a couple of words while I was just sitting there. So the word “Shiddat” came up and I could tell that my brother was having A VERY hard time forming a sentence. So, I stepped in, thinking I was some big shot and made this sentence for him…mind you, VERY INNOCENTLY and I was very proud of myself.

“Mujhe Ahmed ka Shiddat say Intizar hai”

As I made the sentence…I looked up proudly to be appraised by my dad…but..instead, my parents were sitting their laughing their butts off…(too much bolllywood, I guess) I guess now that I think about it the only thing I have to say for my defense is that my brother actually did have a friend name ahmed..and I was merely helping him.

Even to this day…my siblings and parents bug me ABOUT THIS AHMED that I had been waiting for.

hahaha!

Share yours! =D

Re: Totally stupid!

Ahmed is not a bollywoodish name..

Re: Totally stupid!

lol you are right...but it wasn't the name I was referring to ...but the sentence itself....You can replace the name with..oh I dont know ..Raj or rahul.... if it makes you understand it better, yeah? :)
