Totally Confused - Who to believe

Although our security establishment and politicians have dubious character throughout their careers and they only realize their crimes and mistakes once they are kicked out of power…but all these years, we the average Pakistanies were forced to believe that no matter what, our Army and Intelligence agencies can and would never compromise on national interest and they would do whatever in their capacity to save us from our enemies… for this reason, we were happy to give away 80%+ of our budget to our armed forces, we happily viewed them building mansions while living in a hut, we saluted their convoys while walking bare-footed in the heat of June and July, we backed them up on when and where basis, we never have shown any hesitation to sacrifice for our heroes…

and Now, after 60 odd years of sacrifice what have we got in our hand?

An army who still eats 80%+ of our budget and count the bodies of our brothers killed in drone attacks? worse, the same army and political leadership encourage such attacks in civilians! i don’t know under which law it is permissible to shoot out 100s of innocent civilians to kill one terrorist??? the only people who do this are known as terrorists… they kill or destroy anything just to reach their target!!!

The intelligence agencies who have spent years telling us that all the politicians are traitors and who have spent millions in buying the loyalties or creating alliances between the same traitors have done nothing to kill / eliminate the elements who killed people praying in mosques back in 90s, seems to be God-Father of the killers of Karachi were dogs think that they are lucky do be a dog and not a man, did nothing to takeout the leadership and operational capabilities of TTP…

Yes the intelligence agencies have scared the hell out of me and many like me, they have kidnapped us, tortured us, kept in captivity without any charge… we were/are harmless persons who can do nothing yet been prosecuted by our own defenders…

Yes the same intelligence agencies have always harbored politicians to use them on specific time… Imran Khan comes to mind, who was used to show to US and other countries that how much Pakistani pressure groups are against the Drones… and now when the message has been conveyed ( for which we got a brutal response in form of Abbotabad Operation) his dharna politics is no longer required… so he is abandoned this time

The politcal leadership has used the army establishment as their shield in all those years, anything went wrong was and is blamed on army, now army and political leadership has approved a resolution which says that if any drone attack took place then the supply to Afghanistan shall be blocked, yes, Americans laughed and said there you go, have 2 per day and we will pay you, so the drone and supply to NATO continued…

I want to support my Army, my ISI, my politicians.. but with every passing day it is becoming difficult to support them… if i cannot trust my army then whom should i trust… so far their ain’t anyone who can lift the sword out of the stone… so far we are being said to stay low because of the bed-room monsters… yes the same monsters who feed our political and army elite…

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

So I am 100% agree to you one again Hanibal.
But I am saying this for years and you never believed.

80% of budget? Where did this number come from anyways?

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

It may be 55% , what different it could make.

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

Pakistanis are easily deceived by the military and political slogans, so this type of situation is the bitter medicine the whole of Pakistan must swallow now so they wake up and make Pakistan the progressive republic that it was intended to be. If this is not enough, then there is more humiliation on the way.

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

Hannibal Sahib, let us not keep reguritating Pakistan's shortcomings, and I do not mean to discard what you have stated here.

it is best that we remmember the** Backbone** of Pakistan are its Farmers and all workers contributing to its betterment and survival during these hard times.

It seems it always easier to point out the black sheep because they stand out.....:D

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

^^ May 2nd, attack on Abotabad, then attack on FC training center and today attack on PAF base.. what the hell??? where is security agencies, smoking and drinking???

farmers and workers can contribute when they know that there borders are secured..not in the situation where they know there is no honor left and the top brass is nothing but sell-outs

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

I can feel your pain....

Re: Totally Confused - Who to believe

Yes all those are a very big breach of security for a relatively young country, it is quite disheartening!

However I would like to point out the biggest breach of security happened on 9/11, and happened inside a Super Power…

Please Take Note of the response Americans and our Leadership Made to that attack…

Their was absolutely NO Finger Pointing by any one…

and No Call for accountability…

But a total United response by Govt and Public…:k:

No one wanted to blame the Leadership for sleeping at the helm like Pakistanis are doing now…

When a country is attacked from an Outside Force, IT IS time to make a United response and time to close the Ranks! and march in step!
