No offense, Fraudz, but you don't represent the representative threads like: 'US erodes global human rights', 'US torture worse than Saddam’s’ and 'US Style Democracy: Death Squads'. I'd be curious to know if their reasoning is the same? Just because of the US' impact in the world?

I am sick of people criticizing the forum for being a USA forum…well why don’t you guys start non-usa threads…as a matter of fact, most of you don’t even participate in a non-USA thread…majority of my threads are not about USA but I hardly receive any respond…here are some of my threads in last 3 weeks…hardly anyone took any notice…

and i bet that all these threads are started by about 4-5 of the same guys saying the same thing in every single thread. they should just outsource it to some body shop in india so they can start the same threards and do cut and paste much faster, and cheaper too

You want to talk about power shift in hong kong go ahead what effect will that have on the muslim world zilch! it has no effect Hong kong is nothing more than a satellite of chinas now. As opposed to Amerikkkan occupation of iraq which has a big influence not only in the middle east but will effect the world over.
WTO an organistion that is the modern day pirates making rules on trade around the world in order that the current economic powers remain so. And on the rare occasions when the WTO rulings go against the economic powers these same powers will apply pressure on others to get this ruling annuled!

Now, economies of the world are intertwined, and the economic shifts in Asia have a huge impact globally, which i believe the muslim world is part of. economic power is important for military power, as well as for influence in the world etc etc etc...

Unfortunate part is that I would find difficult to comment because I am sorely lacking information and education regarding these people and places.
Easy to respond to threads regarding America if you are an American…because at least there is some grasp of topics…and much media coverage. Media coverage is lacking here in the U.S. for the most part on issues that do not include America unfortunately.
Tell me about your concerns regarding these issues you want to bring attention to. Do you have a connection to these people and places? What do you want to discuss? Educate us.
You can post a news item regarding above mentioned issues…but I think if you illustrate in your own words your interest, connection and concerns and why attention is needed perhaps you will recieve better response.

although my above post was just messing about wit utd and I use the examples of burkina faso in jest. There is a point to be made here. Are we interested in world affiars on our own twrms, or are we interested in the world at large. Are we interested in world events if they directly impact us, or are we interested out of human concern.
as far as lack of knowledge goes, if interest is there, one finds a way to gain knowledge. otherwise one can have access to great wealth ofknowledge but not access it and learn from it due to lack of interest. There are tons of books and publications out there about quiltmaking, but I have no interest in it so I dont bother, and it appears the same is true for world affairs and many people.
Your suggestions are good however.

Its actually because topics that require thinking are ignored. Half of P diddy's threads are boring but the other half do require thinking. The problem is that the WA population is so dumb that most people don't care to post interesting topics.
I will give you an example. If i posted a thread on the scramjet and how the technology can be used for military purposes and/or civilian purposes, everybody would ignore it. Because it requires you to think. The so called intellectuals of this forum would ignore it because they don't know what the scramjet is. While on the other hand the scramjet was big news at slashdot, slycke, BBC, Jane Defense Weekly etc.
But you all don't give a damn. It easy to insult people and insult a country because you don't happen to agree with it.
Both americans, ABCDs, the ones that need visas, the crazy HT buggers and whoever is left are guilty of this.

CM chanda, not everyone does a school paper on a topic and posts the findings on an internet forum to subtantiate their existence. People who post topics about scramjets are losers who haven’t kissed a girl ever in their life.

Seriously though, how come you never post anything on developing capital markets in local emerging markets by providing last mile connectivity for global BD’s to trade local equities, there by increasing FII to those economies and raising per capita incomes and the inherent HDI numbers? I have been waiting for such a topic for years from you…kind of like the scramjet one you are pining for. Hope you get the hint…
