can any1 tell me the size of an installed windows 7 is
like a fresh installed windows 7
what is the exact size of C:\ (if 1 installs on c that is)
and is it different for different versions i.e home, ultimate etc
help would be appreciated
since my C is only 8 gb i was wondering if i could install without resizing partitions
(i posted this in the OS installation thread but very less people go there so making a new thread)

If it is a fresh install then I recomend resizing the partition. 8Gb will run out as soon as you will start installing other applications. Not to mention windows updates and system periodic system restore points which will also need space.
